Melee attacks does double the damage
Melee attacks now inflict double the damage per hit to destructibles, including Sage's Barrier. Why? There weren't enough options during low econ rounds—such as the first round and right after switching sides—to combat Sage's Barrier Orb. Our intent is to add a high-risk, high-reward method for players to interact with her wall, while still being able to take it down, no matter their loadout.

Availability of Tactical knife
Tactical knife was available since Beta, with 4 more skins—Imperium Melee, Luxe Melee, Prism Melee, and Reaver Melee.

Weapon skin upgrades
-
Upgrades consist from visual effects, pretty animations, last frag special animation, and chromas. Each of upgrades starts with the base level and costs a certain amount of Radianite Points.
The points can be earned in missions and contracts, or they can be bought in the in-game shop.

What are Radianite points for? Our plan is to have Radianite Points become the evolving currency of VALORANT.
So as we develop new features, we hope you'll be able to use it to buy more Gun Buddies, upgrade Player Cards and Sprays in addition to what is currently just weapon skins.
We'll make sure to offer ways to spend your Radianite Points on content that is unlocked within the battle pass. It'll take us some time to get there but that's our long-term vision for the product.
